Built next to a sheltered natural harbor, Panormos offers a more peaceful experience of northern Crete, with clear waters, sandy coves, and a village that moves at a more leisurely pace. Its location, between Rethymno and Heraklion, makes it an ideal base for both days by the sea and short trips inland.

From Panormos, some of the area’s most interesting sites are within easy reach. Rethymno offers the atmosphere of its old town and Venetian harbor, the Arkadi Monastery is one of Crete’s most important historical monuments, Ancient Eleftherna sheds light on the island’s ancient past, and the Melidoni Cave offers an experience where nature and history come together.
